Freelancer Limited shares floated on the Australian Stock Market (ASX:FLN) on the 15 November 2013. Only 6.9% of the company was sold to new investors (or just $15 million) at 50 cents per share. Read more about the pre float.

If you were lucky enough to get some on the float, you could have made a killing the first day. Freelancer.com peaked at $2.60 per share. That is an amazing 420% increase.

As of 10 Dec 2013 the share price has retreat to $1.05 per share with a market cap of $458 million AUD. The question is how much will this company be worth in a couple of years? The accounts state the following about their revenue:

  • Revenue half year ending 30 June 2012 : $4,305,658 AUD
  • Revenue half year ending 30 June 2013 : $8,452,881 AUD

96% increase in revenue, wow!. Could this justify the lofty market cap of $458 million? What if you can do this for the next four years?

  • Revenue half year ending 30 June 2014 (assumed 96% growth): $16,567,646 AUD
  • Revenue half year ending 30 June 2015 (assumed 96% growth): $32,472,586 AUD
  • Revenue half year ending 30 June 2016 (assumed 96% growth): $63,646,268 AUD
  • Revenue half year ending 30 June 2017 (assumed 96% growth): $124,746,685 AUD

Could Freelancer.com be the next market to explode, like the apple app store? Time will tell.
