How to make a Date File Time Stamp - AutoCAD Tip

In AutoCAD 2000, you can use the RTEXT command to create a date and time stamp.

  1. At the command prompt, enter RTEXT.
  2. Enter D for Diesel.
  3. In the Edit RTEXT dialog box, enter the following lines:
$(edtime, 0, MON DD"," YYYY - H:MMam/pm)
(getvar, "dwgprefix")$(getvar, "dwg name")
Select a point in the drawing to place the stamp
